▍Cyclists be aware! Riding on sidewalks that are not designated shared paths is strictly prohibited

Cycling right-of-way

•Bicycles are classified as slow moving vehicles and cannot be ridden on sidewalks and covered walkways
•A bicycle can only be ridden on a sidewalk when there is a “pedestrian and bicycle shared path” sign or markings
•Zebra crossings are for pedestrians only. Cyclists are required to dismount and push their bicycles across the crossway
•Pedestrians have right-of-way when using shared pedestrian-bicycle paths

Riding on sidewalks or pedestrian crossings in violation of these regulations can result in a fine of NT$300-NT$1,200

Please follow cycling rules to protect yourself and other road users
