▍Do not use AI to help with mental health problems

With the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in daily life, the use of mental health related AI products is becoming increasingly common. Because of their convenience, privacy, and non-judgmental nature, more people are chatting to AI about concerns they find difficult to talk about

Although AI can be used as a support tool for mental health, caution is required:

•AI does not possess real emotions or empathy and is unable to replace real world interpersonal interactions

•When using AI employ critical thought: Fully consider and evaluate all physical and mental health advice made by AI

•AI is not a medical professional and is unable to diagnose illnesses. If you suffer from long-term insomnia, depression or consider self-harm seek immediate medical assistance

If you experience mental problems contact friends, family, a teacher or call the “1925 Suicide Prevention Hotline” or “1999 ext. 8858 – Help Me.” Seek help from a real person. If you need interpretation services, call the 1955 Hotline
