▍Pedestrians crossing on a red light will be fined Safety is not a matter of luck

Pedestrians who do not obey traffic rules, by crossing between vehicles or in the middle of the road when the light is red, can be fined NT$500 in accordance with related road traffic management laws. Although the fine is not high, in the event of a traffic accident offenders can be held civilly or criminally liable

Forcing drivers to break suddenly can cause a rear-end collision / Poor visibility increases the likelihood of misjudgment / Crossing the road suddenly or at unexpected places is most likely to cause serious accidents

Be aware!

•Even if there is no traffic, pedestrians still cannot cross the road

•Even if there is no pedestrian signal, pedestrians are still required to observe the traffic lights

•Pedestrian violations cannot be reported by members of the public, they must be dealt with by police when they occur
