Do not post meat pork products or quarantined items back to Taiwan
To avoid breaking the law and running the risk of spreading disease
Anyone sending pork products to Taiwan from a designated African swine flu area will be fined NT$200,000 for a first offense and NT$1 million for second and subsequent offenses
If you receive unknown pork products, do not throw them in the kitchen waste bin or regular garbage. Please take them to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, or a quarantine station during working hours. Professional staff will properly package and destroy the pork to prevent accidental entry into the food waste chain and the possible spread of disease
