▍Be aware! barbecuing in these areas can result in a fine of up to NT$600,000

During the summer and autumn months many people visit mountain forests or riverside areas to relax, enjoy the water and barbecue. However, before visiting any mountain forest area or engaging in such activities it is important to first familiarize yourself with related regulations, to avoid lighting camp fires, burning waste or barbecuing on national forest land

According to the law, lighting fires without prior authorization, including the use of charcoal on a barbecue, can result in a fine of NT$120,000 to NT$600,000

If you encounter anyone breaking related regulations call the Forest Conservation Hotline at 0800-000-930. If you require translation services call the 1955 Hotline
