▍Do not worry if you are diagnosed with amebic dysentery understanding the medical treatment process
1.Go to a designated hospital for treatment; the hospital will apply to a regional center under the Taiwan Centers of Disease Control (CDC) for the medication (which is specifically approved for importation) to treat amebic dysentery
2.Patients are required to pay out-of-pocket (NT$3,000-8,000) with employers or labor brokers helping foreign workers remit the payment to an account designated by the CDC.
3.Present the remittance receipt to the designated hospital. Once the availability of medication is confirmed with the CDC regional center, an application form and the remittance receipt are faxed to the center.
4.The CDC regional center sends the medication to the designated hospital by express mail and the hospital gives it to the foreign worker.
