Are you aware that bringing foodstuffs into Taiwan that contain pork is illegal? Doing so can result in a heavy fine.
Banned foods
Pork floss egg rolls, various types of jerky, ham sausages, meat-filled rice rolls,and in-flight meals containing meat
Punishment
Offenders who bring pork products into the country can be fined up to NT$1 million for repeat offenses
How to avoid breaking the law?
•Before departure, check your luggage:Make sure it contains no meat products
•On arriving in Taiwan check your belongings:If you find any meat products, dispose of them immediately in designated disposal bins at the airport to avoid breaking the law.
