For your safety only take taxis from legally designated areas
•Take taxis from a taxi stand, a yellow line drop-offand pick up zone, or designated pick-up area
•Wait time should be no longer than three minutes
•If you have booked a taxi, be sure to arrive ahead of timeor on time, so the taxi driver does not have to wait
Do not flag down or get out of a vehicle at the following illegal locations
•Pedestrian crossways
•Sidewalks
•Intersections
•Within 5 meters of a fire hydrantor an entrance/exit for fire trucks
•With 10 meters of a bus stop
•In a parallel lane or fast lane
Illegally flagging down a vehicleor asking the driver to stop at an inappropriate location increases the risk of a traffic accidentand can result in the driver being fined NT$600 -NT$2,400
Such behavior not only endangers your own safety,it also increases the danger for other road users
