Kevin is about to become a father. Next week he is going with his wife for a prenatal maternity check-up and wants to ask for “maternity check-up accompaniment leave” but has a question.
Can I take just two hours leave from work?
Answer: Of course!
According to regulations, both maternity check-up and maternity check-up accompaniment leave can be calculated “by the hour” or as “half a day.” Moreover, employers cannot refuse to grant such leave.
Remember, once you have decided to select leave by hours or as half a day, it cannot be changed.
