▍What to do if your passport expires?

If your passport is valid for less than 6 months,

please apply for a new one through the representative mission of your country in Taiwan.

After receiving a new passport employers

are required to update the passport number and resident permit validity of foreign workers at the National Immigration Agency (NIA). Once an employer has updated related information at the NIA, he is not required to register any change in information with the Ministry of Labor.
