▍What preparations should be made before a typhoon? 

Consider the following measures:

•Check the television, internet or radio for the latest information on the direction of the typhoon

•Check doors and windows are secure and close all that do not have to be used

•Clean out drainage ditches and ensure channels are not blocked

•Take down or secure all hanging objects

•Prepare 3-4 days of dry food and drinking water

•Prepare candles, a flashlight and batteries to be used in the event of a power outage
