▍Regular exercise reduces the risk of chronic illnesses in adults
Physical exercise should focus on aerobic activities in concert with other activities. An appropriate amount of aerobic activity should meet the following conditions:
•Frequency:Five days or more a week
•Intensity:Activity should result in rapid breathing that leaves one able to engage in conversation but unable to sing
•Time:150 minutes per week
•Type:Fast walking, cycling, aerobic dancing, dog walking, swimming etc
Remember
Start by engaging in relatively easy aerobic exercise and gradually increase the intensity.
