▍Customs quarantine regulations on arriving in Taiwan in-flight meals

Be aware of regulations on in-flight meals

A:Adi, we’re getting off the plane why do you have food in your hand?

B:I didn’t finish the wrap from my in-flight meal and it would be a waste to throw it away

A:Those wraps have pork and uncooked vegetables in them, taking them off the plane violates quarantine regulations and you will be fined

B:I’m glad you told me, otherwise I’d be in serious trouble

Remember, in-flight meals are considered overseas goods so if you plan to bring any part of one into Taiwan first check whether it contains meat or fresh vegetables. Snacks or biscuits that do not have a meat or vegetable filling can be brought in. If an individual is caught trying to bring food containing meat into Taiwan the fine can be up to NT$1 million
