▎Safety measures for crane operations
Crane operations are inherently dangerous
The slightest carelessness can lead to serious injury, death or damage to property; when operating a crane be sure to observe all related safety measures
•Heavy load operations-The center of gravity of a heavy load must be placed directly below the crane hook/Select appropriate crane lifting tools and ensure the load is properly affixed
•Personnel safety-Once a heavy load has been lifted from the ground by a crane do not touch it/The area where the carrying rope is attached to the crane must be appropriately padded
•Clear the area-Personnel must not enter the area under objects being lifted by a crane.If a load does have to be lifted over the top of personnel, protective equipment or measures must be in place
