▎Timetable for applying to extend an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
My ARC has nearly expired, the labor brokerage said they will help me get it extended, but when can I get a new ARC?
According to regulations a foreign worker must apply for an extension to his or her ARC within 3 months before the current ARC expiry.
There are two methods of application
| Online application | Ask a labor brokerage or your employer to file an application through the National ImmigrationAgency’s “Foreign Worker Online Application System.” If there is no need for supplementary documentation an application takes 5 working days. |
| In-person Application | An employer or the foreign worker can file an application in person at the National Immigration Agency service station in the area where they reside. Applications take 10 working days. |
