▎What fixed payments are foreign workers required to pay in Taiwan?
Fixed monthly payments
•Labor insurance-Workers cover 20% of total cost
※Live in care workers and home help are not mandatory targets of labor insurance and if they do not have labor insurance are not required to make this payment. However, live-in home help are required to have occupational injury insurance which must be paid in full by the employer.
•Health insurance-Workers cover 30% of total cost
•Labor brokerage service fee-When a foreign worker arrives in Taiwan and works for an accumulated period of 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, he or she is required to pay a maximum monthly labor brokerage service fee of NT$1,800, NT$1,700, NT$1,500, respectively.
Other payments
•Health check-up fee-Determined by hospital fee charging regulations
•Alien residents permit fee-NT$1,000 per year
