There are many celebratory events during   the year-end festive season, do not drink and drive a scooter, motorbike or car to avoid the legal consequences:

⚠️Up to three years in jail 

⚠️A maximum fine of NT$300,000

⚠️Deportation and a permanent ban from working in Taiwan

If an individual causes serious injury or death as a result of drunk driving it is considered an aggravated offense
