▍August 7, August 10-13, 2026  Urban Resilience (Air-Defense) Exercise

Traffic Controls, Blackout, Secure Doors & Windows, Network Slowdown

When the air-defense alarm sounds (or a mobile phone warning message is received), all motorists, passengers and pedestrians are required to follow the guidance of police and civil defense staff by evacuating to the nearest shelter.

• A siren indicates the start of the drill：The siren is a 15-second high pitch sound followed by a 5-second  low pitch sound with three cycles lasting 115 seconds in total. 
   Siren indicating the end of the drill：A 90-second  high pitch sound.
•Anyone who violates the regulations governing the drill will be fined between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000  in accordance with the Civil Defense Act.

The 2026 Urban Resilience (Air Defense) Exercise will include 
a newly introduced “mobile internet slowdown” simulation test
•“Mobile communication network outage” refers to a localized and temporary scenario (not a nationwide outage or a large-scale network shutdown lasting several hours).
•If you receive a text message/alert, there is no need to stop your vehicle or take shelter.
