A friendly reminder to foreign workers

If at the end of a contract working in Taiwan a foreign worker wants to return to his/her home country and no longer needs a local bank account, the account should be closed.

Personal identity documents and bank accounts should be handled carefully. Under no circumstances should either be lent to someone else, as they could be sold off or used in ways that make you an accomplice to the illegal activities of a scam gang. 

If your account is used as a dummy account in a fraud scheme, other than being subject to criminal investigation and civil claims for compensation, it could also impact your right to work in Taiwan
